Before you submit your Research visa application package to us, please obtain formal approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and Technology, and the Directorate General of Immigration. After you get this formal preapproval you can submit the visa application to us.
The Indonesian Research visa application package must include the following documents:
- The original SIGNED passport with a validity of more than 6 months, (passport must be in good condition, not torn or damaged and has at least ONE visa blank page to affix the visa sticker).
- 1 photocopy of ID page of the passport.
- Visa application forms, properly completed online, please click on this link← Please print out all 4 pages and sign it. Please be advised that uploaded photo at the online visa application form must be the same that you would provide us later by mail with other paperwork.
- Two color photographs, recent, of the same drawing, passport format.
- Researcher Visa Authorization Letter from the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration after completing an online foreign research application. Note: An application will not be processed without a formal notification of authorization from the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration. To initiate and expedite the process of the Authorization, it is advisable that the applicant's sponsor in Indonesia submit a request for authorization to the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and Technology and the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta, Indonesia. Please make sure that the notification is addressed to the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate Generals in which the visa will be issued.
- If you travel with kids (under the age of 18), you will need to attached the following documents:
a. Copy of the child’s birth certificate (notarized, we can do this for additional cost 5 US.
b. A Letter of Consent signed by both parents and notarized by a Notary Public.
c. Copies of a Government issued ID such as passport or Driver’s License of both the parents should be attached.
- For Non-US citizen: Please provide a copy of US Permanent Residence/Visa/Valid I-20 from schools/universities.
- Vaccination (Yellow Fewer) is recommended but not mandatory, and is required only if applicant had previously traveled to areas/ countries infected by yellow fever.
- Record of Travel in the last 14 Days.
- Health certificate issued by health authority that stated applicant is fit for travel and free from respiratory infection symptoms

- Prepaid return envelope or we can do it for you for additional cost.
