Teaching Visa “B”
The Teaching Thailand visa (Non-Immigrant Visas Category “B”) application package must include the following documents:
- The original signed passport with a validity of more than 6 months, (passport must be in good condition, not torn or damaged and has at least ONE visa blank page to affix the visa sticker).
- Visa application form, properly completed, to download the form please click on this link←
- Two color photographs, recent, of the same drawing, passport format.
- Copy of flight and hotel reservation. The full name of the applicant has to be on this itinerary.
- Copy of recent Bank Statement. The account balance has to be at least $700 per person and $1,500 per family. The full name of the applicant has to be on this bank statement.
- For Non-US citizen: Please provide a copy of US Permanent Residence card (both sides) /Visa/Valid I-20 from schools/universities ( full time), Letter of Employment on the company letterhead, for self-employed people - business license or business registration indicating the applicant’s name.
- An original letter of acceptance from an education institute in Thailand on the official letterhead. This letter has to indicate you position, you name has to be indicated as it is written in your passport (NO ABBREVIATIONS PLEASE!). The employer has to sign it.
- In case ifyou are planning to teach at the international schools, that are not listed as recognized ( not accredited) International Schools, a copy of letter of approval from the Office of the Private Education Commission is required.
- A copy of school (in Thailand) license or business registration, list of shareholders and school profile.
- Resume (C/V) of the applicant.
- Copy of teaching diploma, transcript, certificate, teaching licenses.
- Original FBI report. This document valid is 3 month only. Please refer to this link to find more information about this document.
- Vaccination (Yellow Fewer) is mandatory, if the applicant had previously traveled to areas/ countries infected by yellow fever. Please double check the list of the countries here←
- Copy of health insurance with coverage of USD 100,000, specifically with the coverage of COVID-19. This health insurance must also be presented upon arrival to Thailand.
- Temporary requirement: Health certificate issued by health authority that stated applicant is fit for travel and free from respiratory infection symptoms. This Health Certificate has to be presented on arrival and issued 72 hours prior to the travel date and stating that traveler is not infected with COVID-19 and does not have any symptoms of COVID-19.
