Please read this information ← before you start to collect your paperwork for Retirement Visa.
The Retirement Thailand visas (Non-Immigrant Visas Category “O-X Long Stay”) application package must include the following documents:
- The original signed passport with a validity of more than 6 months, (passport must be in good condition, not torn or damaged and has at least ONE visa blank page to affix the visa sticker).
- Visa application form, properly completed, to download the form please click on this link←
- Two color photographs, recent, of the same drawing, passport format.
- A copy of bank statement from Thailand Bank only and a letter of guarantee from the bank with bank’s contact information showing a deposit of the amount equal to and not less than 3 Million Thai Bahts. Please be advised that this minimum amount must be hold at the bank account at least 1 year after receiving the visa. Alternatively you can submit a copy of bank statement (from financial institutes located in Thailand only) and a letter of guarantee from the bank with bank’s contact information showing a deposit of the amount equal to and not less than 1.8 Million Bahts and proof of annual incomes of not less than 1.2 Million Bahts . Once the applicants enter Thailand, they must have accumulated money deposited in Thai bank located in Thailand not less than 3 million Baht within 1 year.
- Fresh police certificate (the document must be valid for not more than three months), the police certificate has to be issued by the state police.
- A fresh medical certificate showing no prohibitive diseases such as: Leprosy (Hansen's Disease), Tuberculosis (T.B.), Elephantiasis ( Lymphatic Filariasis), Drug Addiction, Third Step Of Syphilis; (the document must be valid for not more than three months). - Health insurance. Coverage requirements for outpatient treatment of no less than 40,000 Bahts and inpatient treatment of no less than 400,000 Bahts. Please see the insurance plan here← http://longstay.tgia.org.
- If you apply with your spouse, the marriage certificate has to be provided as well.
- Vaccination (Yellow Fewer) is mandatory, if the applicant had previously traveled to areas/ countries infected by yellow fever. Please double check the list of the countries here←
- Temporary requirement: Health certificate issued by health authority that stated applicant is fit for travel and free from respiratory infection symptoms. This Health Certificate has to be presented on arrival and issued 72 hours prior to the travel date and stating that traveler is not infected with COVID-19 and does not have any symptoms of COVID-19.
